LOCKDOWN not a constraint for Tamil teaching!

In June, the entire world had come to a stands still due to corona pandemic. However, our Sangam resolved to promote and propagate the learning of Tamil language even during the lock-down. Mrs. Kanagam Sankara Narayanan wife of our Life member Mr. Sankaranarayanan (L.M 720) converted the Corona calamity into a Tamil language teaching-learning opportunity. Our Sangam supported Mrs Kanagam’s earnest efforts and we
enrolled 22 of her students our centre as the new students of the Tamil virtual Academy Mrs Kanagam is conducting regular online classes based on Tamil Virtual Academy syllabus and the students are being trained to take the first level examination shortly

On 15 th August, Virtual Academy students’ cultural program : 

Mrs Kanagam Sankaranarayanan, the mentor of our new batch of virtual academy students registered in June conducted online completions from morning to evening for her students to inculcate the spirit of patriotism and Tamil speaking writing skills as well as their cultural talents potential.

Independence Day Kummi Dance program : Some of our talented lady life members and the
spouses of life members rendered an ‘online kummi event through their dance group ‘Inaindha kaigal’ and celebrated Independence Day. Our Life Member Mrs. Prasanna Venkatesh ( L.M.724) had composed and sang the kummi song and Mrs Bhooma Sunderarajan ( Spouse of Mr Sunderarajan L.M. 422) had choreographed the dance.
